Saruni Mara Camp invites its guests to a warm and friendly camp that houses 6 fantastic cottages where a maximum of 12 guests can be catered for each time. Found in a private conservation area, Saruni Mara displays magnificent views of the Masaai Mara. The camp is also strategically placed in front of a gorge that is filled with a number of animals from time to time. Some of these can include Buffalo and Elephant and makes for exciting game viewing for our guests.
The cottages at Mara Saruni are furnished with beautiful antiques and rich Persian rugs & with a touch of African art. Each cottage is equipped with hot and cold running water, electricity, wooden polished floors and bathroom fittings. The bathrooms have large canvas fronts that open out onto the views of the plains so that guests can enjoy showers whilst taking in the sights and sounds of the Mara. Each cottage also comes with its own verandah from where guests can sit and relax as they watch the animals come to the nearby waterhole.
At Saruni Mara, guests can choose to enjoy game drives or guided bush walks, enjoy meals out in the bush or watch the sun set as they sip on their favorite Sundowners.
Guests can relax at the Masaai well-being Space spa or get absorbed in the history of Africa at the library. The camp can organise drawing safaris (advance booking required) for artists to hone their skills in this beautiful environment, and younger guests will enjoy the “warrior for a week” program where they can learn various bush skills such as how to throw a spear and how to track different animal species.
Just 10 km away from the main lodge at Saruni Mara is Saruni Wild – a deluxe tented camp with just 3 en-suite tents. The camp allows guests to experience luxury camping in the wild. The attractive guest tents feature cedar wood furniture and all comforts and amenities. As well as game drives activities at Saruni Wild focus on elephant tracking, learning bush-craft, walking and fabulous night game drives.
