Visit Serian's Nkorombo Camp
Set in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve on a private site on the Mara River, Nkorombo is a high-quality tented mobile safari camp in the prestigious Alex Walker collection. It is adjacent to a salt lick that regularly hosts black rhino, lion and leopard, and it overlooks the river with its hippos and crocodiles.
The area is unrivalled for game-viewing with an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding area.
The location gives guests a front-row seat for viewing East Africa’s Great Migration between June and November when the wildebeest and zebra make their crossings of the Mara River just metres away.

Accommodation
The camp has been cleverly designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. There are just five spacious Selous style safari tents in a traditional safari style with comfortable beds, carpets and tray tables. Each tent has en suite facilities with flush toilets and bucket showers.
High quality meals are either at camp or are taken as picnics out in the bush. The Serian safari experience includes premium open-top safari vehicles with expert guide / spotter and sundowners at scenic view-points overlooking the plains.

With two double nest-shaped beds plus space for a couple of bedrolls, The Nest can work either as a romantic overnight tryst for two or as an amazing sleepover for an adventurous family or group of friends.

I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
