Yes, absolutely! One of the best things about having a private luxury safari is that you have that extra freedom to really customise it around what is suitable for you and your family.
Tell us about your family, the age differences amongst your children and any elderly relatives, along with fitness levels and interests, and we will use this information to put together a package that you will love. You can also find out more on our family-friendly safaris page here.
No. We are careful not to let this happen, but it does depend on what it is you want to do. Our Porini Camps offer an almost exclusive experience of Kenya — you’ll feel deep in the African wilderness and feel that the continent is yours alone to explore.
But if you want to witness the Great Migration, for example, there are inevitably crowds. However, we can mitigate this by starting your journey off in an exclusive camp that isn't crowded, then by taking you in to witness the Great Migration and giving you a far less rushed experience, sticking around for a lot longer than most other tourists. Our team will handle everything from internal flights and transfers to your accommodation & park fees, for an effortless, stress-free holiday. All you have to do is book your international flight, , and we’ll do everything else. There may be some locations where drinks are additional , or food is a bit different. However, all of this will be clearly communicated to you by our specialists as we put together your custom plan.
Yes! Just let us know your dietary requirements, any allergens, and any medical needs and fitness levels. All of this will be taken into account when we put together your custom private safari.
Yes. We can arrange it so that you will have a private guide and vehicle throughout, and this will be communicated clearly to you in the planning process.
However, it does depend sometimes on which property or conservancy or park you want to visit. Some properties operate shared activities as a standard. In such cases, we will let you know if you want to visit such areas, if it is possible or not to get a private guide or vehicle, and if you would like an alternative option.

Jambo, I’m Tommy Mees, most people call me Tom.
My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
Having travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic wilderness experiences and the conservation-focused approach of the Porini Camps.
I am originally from Belgium and now based in Spain, though my heart has always remained in Africa.
