This wonderful low-cost 7 day safari is perfect for those wanting to experience the fantastic wildlife of Kenya within two varied locations – the lakeland region as well as the Masai Mara, renowned for stunning scenery and a profusion of animals. Travel is by private minibus (except airport transfers).
First spend two nights in Nairobi with time to visit the famous Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center. Then travel to Lake Elementeita for 2 nights, see Lake Nakuru and continue to the Masai Mara for 2 nights. There is the option to add a beach extension on the Kenya Coast.

DAY BY DAY
Tour Experiences
Day 1
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted to your transfer vehicle. You will then proceed to your city hotel, arriving in time for check-in. Enjoy an overnight stay at your city hotel.
Day 2
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full-day private hire of a minivan to explore Nairobi’s highlights, including visits to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center. The vehicle and driver will be at your disposal for the afternoon, providing the flexibility to visit a local restaurant for lunch (not included) or enjoy souvenir shopping. Overnight at the Tamarind Tree Hotel.
Day 3
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out. Embark on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in time for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk along the lake shore. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Day 4
Experience a full day in Lake Nakuru National Park, complete with scheduled morning and afternoon game drives. All meals will be provided, and you will enjoy an overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
Day 5
After breakfast, you will check out and embark on a drive southwest in a 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle to the Masai Mara National Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you will check in and enjoy lunch at Keekorok Lodge. After a period of relaxation, you will proceed on an afternoon game drive, returning later for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 6
Optional Balloon Safari and Champagne Breakfast.
You will enjoy a full day in the Masai Mara National Game Reserve, featuring scheduled game drives in a 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle during the early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon. All meals will be provided, and you will spend the night at Keekorok Lodge.
Day 7
After breakfast, you will check out and embark on your return journey to Nairobi city in our 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle, arriving in the mid-afternoon. You will be dropped off in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward arrangements.

Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to the Tamarind Tree Hotel for 2 nights (Bed & Breakfast basis).
Day 2
Breakfast at hotel. Full Day hire of private minivan to see the highlights of Nairobi including a visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center. Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Afternoon in camp, followed by another game drive, returning to camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.
Day 7
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Transfer back to Nairobi and drop off at the international airport for your flight home. Alternatively, fly direct from the Masai Mara to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days before flying back to Nairobi (optional and at a supplement).

Hello, I am Sally Wanjau, and I have been travelling to Kenya on safari since the 1980’s which led to me living and working there for several years. Married to a Kenyan, it is a place that I now call home. I currently live in the UK with my husband.
