Classic Kenya Safari
Experience the highlights of Kenya on an 8-day road safari from Nairobi, travelling by 4×4 safari vehicle to Samburu National Reserve, the Aberdare National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This classic Kenya safari combines varied landscapes and some of the country’s most rewarding wildlife destinations, with comfortable lodge accommodation throughout.
Discover Samburu’s striking northern scenery and unique wildlife, explore the forested Aberdare mountains, and visit Lake Nakuru for opportunities to see rhino, lion, leopard and abundant birdlife. The safari concludes in the Maasai Mara, renowned for its exceptional concentrations of wildlife and home to the wildebeest migration.
The safari operates weekly, departing from Nairobi on Fridays, and is designed to offer an excellent introduction to Kenya’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.

Tour Experiences
Day 1
Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearance with customs, transfer (minivan) to The Tribe Hotel (or Trademark Hotel in a Suite) for check in. Time at leisure. Overnight on bed and breakfast.
Days 2 & 3 - Samburu
Begin your journey with an early morning pickup from Nairobi as we set off, driving north to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive for check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge for 2 nights with game drives in Samburu National Reserve, with the focus on spotting elephants, big cats, and the unique wildlife that Samburu is renowned for, including the endangered Grevy’s Zebra and the Reticulated Giraffe.
Overnight Samburu Sopa Lodge.
Day 4 - Aberdares
After breakfast, check out and drive by 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle to the Aberdare National Park arriving at Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to The Ark Tree Lodge where you will spend the evening observing wildlife from the lodge as the animals come to the nearby saltlick and waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 - lake Nakuru
After a cup of tea or coffee check out of the Tree Lodge and board the transfer vehicle to the Aberdare Country Club for breakfast after which our driver will assist you with collecting the rest of your luggage. Continue by the 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle down the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park with an en route game drive, arriving at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for check in and lunch. After relaxation, proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park returning later for dinner and overnight.
Days 6 & 7 - Maasai Mara
After breakfast, check out and drive Southwest in the 4×4 pop-up roof safari vehicle to the world-famous Maasai Mara, arriving for lunch at Mara Leisure Camp/Mara Ardhi, where you will stay for 2 nights (Full Board). Enjoy game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve with an option to take a dawn balloon ride over the savannah.
Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp/Mara Ardhi Camp.
Day 8 - Nairobi/Kenya Coast
After breakfast transfer back to Nairobi. Drop off at the international airport for your flight home. Alternatively, fly to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days before flying back to Nairobi (optional and at a supplement).

Jambo, I’m Tommy Mees, most people call me Tom.
My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
Having travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic wilderness experiences and the conservation-focused approach of the Porini Camps.
I am originally from Belgium and now based in Spain, though my heart has always remained in Africa.
