Lerai Safari Camp
Lerai Safari Camp is the only permanent camp in the pristine 5,000-acre Olerai Conservancy, offering guests an exclusive and intimate safari experience. Perfectly positioned between Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti, it places you at the gateway to two of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations while keeping you far from the crowds.
With only eight luxury tented suites, the camp welcomes just 16 guests at a time, ensuring privacy, tranquillity, and a true sense of seclusion. Each suite has been carefully designed to blend into its surroundings, with sweeping views over the plains and seasonal river. Spacious interiors, elegant bathrooms, and private verandas make every stay as comfortable as it is connected to nature.
Venture out on game drives or explore the conservancy on foot with a Maasai guide who shares his deep knowledge of the land. As the sun sets, head out on evening game drives to discover the nocturnal side of the bush. For an unforgettable perspective, soar above the plains on a hot-air balloon safari at dawn, watching herds of wildlife from the skies.
Back at camp, unwind with a swim, a massage inspired by African healing traditions, or a cocktail in the lounge as wildlife drifts past. With Wi-Fi, charging facilities, and even iMac computers available, modern comforts complement the wilderness setting without intruding on it.

Hi, I’m Rae, based on the West Coast of Canada, on beautiful Vancouver Island. I’m a passionate traveler who has explored nearly 30 countries, but it was a solo journey to Africa that truly transformed my perspective. From the moment I arrived in Botswana, I felt an undeniable connection to the continent and was inspired to spend more time experiencing its extraordinary wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and rich cultures. My solo travels have since taken me through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, Namibia, and Kenya, where I experienced Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps firsthand. It was during these immersive and unforgettable journeys that my passion for Africa evolved into a clear vision: to join the Gamewatchers team and help others discover the magic of safari. I’d love to connect and plan your wildest dreams!Â
