Tour Experiences

Days 1 - 2

You will be met on arrival at Nairobi International Airport or collected from your Nairobi Hotel to transfer to Porini Amboseli Camp for 2 nights. You’ll be met on arrival by your birding guide, Wilson ole Kasaine. During your stay you will have the chance of some birding in the grounds of the camp, escorted by Wilson, take an escorted walk to visit a Maasai village to get an insight into the Maasai culture and the daily lives of the people and spend  a full day’s birding in 4×4 safari vehicle escorted by Wilson, visiting Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch.

Overnight Porini Amboseli Camp

Days 3-4

After breakfast, continue your journey towards the Great Rift Valley, stopping en route for lunch before descending into one of Kenya’s most spectacular landscapes. Arrive at Lake Elementeita, a scenic soda lake renowned for its rich birdlife and tranquil surroundings. Your base for the next two nights is Lake Elementeita Serena Camp, perfectly positioned for exploring this important birding habitat. Home to more than 450 recorded bird species, the area provides excellent opportunities for bird watching from the camp and lakeshore. Enjoy guided birding walks with Wilson around the camp grounds, followed by a full-day excursion to Lake Nakuru National Park with a picnic lunch and rewarding wildlife and bird sightings. Overnight at Lake Elementeita Serena Camp

Days 5-6

After an early breakfast, continue your safari journey westwards to the world-famous Maasai Mara ecosystem, arriving at the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy in time for lunch at Porini Mara Camp. Settle into your two-night stay, with your safari experience fully inclusive of meals, selected drinks, mineral water, daily and night game drives, guided nature walks, sundowners and conservation area fees.

With expert bird guide Wilson ole Kasaine leading the way, explore the diverse habitats of Ol Kinyei Conservancy, home to an incredible variety of bird species as well as iconic African wildlife. Enjoy relaxed birding sessions, thrilling game drives, guided bush walks, spectacular sunset sundowners and exciting night drives revealing the Mara’s nocturnal wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.

Note: From July 1 to September 30, a one-day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve is already included in your package

Day 7

Begin your final morning in the bush with a last bird watching drive through the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, offering one more opportunity to spot some of Kenya’s remarkable bird species and wildlife before breakfast. Afterwards, transfer to the Ol Seki airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, where you will be met and transferred to Nairobi Tented Camp, arriving in time to enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, join Wilson Ole Kasaine for a visit to the Nairobi National Museum, home to an impressive collection of bird specimens gathered over more than six decades. This fascinating experience provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on the many species encountered during your safari and discover even more about Kenya’s extraordinary bird diversity.

Overnight at Nairobi Tented Camp

Day 8

Breakfast at Nairobi Tented Camp before transfer to the airport for your fligth home or fly direct to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days.
