5 Day Big Five Porini Safari
This carefully crafted 5-day safari offers you the rare opportunity to seek out the Big Five across two of the country’s most celebrated conservation areas, staying in small, sustainable eco-camps that put you at the heart of the wilderness.
Kenya is one of the few places on Earth where you can encounter all members of the legendary Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino—in their natural habitats. This carefully crafted 5-day safari offers you the rare opportunity to seek them out across two of the country’s most celebrated conservation areas, staying in small, sustainable eco-camps that put you at the heart of the wilderness.
Your adventure begins in the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, East Africa’s largest sanctuary for black rhinos and the final refuge of the world’s last two northern white rhinos. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancyoffers intimate encounters with iconic species, from elephants and buffalos to elusive leopards and lions, in a protected environment that supports both wildlife and local communities.
Next, you’ll fly to the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, bordering the famed Masai Mara. This exclusive conservancy is one of Kenya’s top spots for predator sightings, particularly lions and cheetahs, and hosts part of the annual Great Migration. With far fewer vehicles than the national reserve, you’ll enjoy unmatched wildlife viewing in peace and seclusion.

Hi, I’m Rae, based on the West Coast of Canada, on beautiful Vancouver Island. I’m a passionate traveler who has explored nearly 30 countries, but it was a solo journey to Africa that truly transformed my perspective. My solo travels have since taken me through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, Namibia, and Kenya, where I experienced Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps firsthand. It was during these immersive and unforgettable journeys that my passion for Africa evolved into a clear vision: to join the Gamewatchers team and help others discover the magic of safari. I’d love to connect and plan your wildest dreams!.

My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
