This unforgettable 8-day safari begins in the heart of Nairobi, where guests spend their first night at the charming Nairobi Tented Camp — before flying south to Selenkay Conservancy in the Amboseli Eco-system, known for its legendary elephant herds and dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The journey continues to the Maasai Mara , where during the peak of the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of nature’s greatest spectacles, expect thrilling wildlife encounters, from herds of wildebeest to the famed big cats that stalk the savannah.
Stay in exclusive Porini Camps located in private conservancies where off-road driving, night game drives, and guided walks are permitted — giving you access to intimate and uncrowded wildlife experiences. In Selenkay Conservancy, adjacent to Amboseli National Park, enjoy sightings of elephants, lions, and other plains game. Then explore the remote Mara Ripoi Conservancy, a pristine habitat for predators and prey alike, with an optional full-day visit to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.
All inter-camp flights are included, ensuring you spend more time on safari and less time on the road. This thoughtfully designed itinerary offers exceptional game viewing, authentic cultural encounters with the Maasai, and a seamless, comfortable safari experience from start to finish.

Tour Experiences
Day 1
You will be picked up from Nairobi Airport or central Nairobi and transferred to Nairobi Tented Camp, an exceptional alternative to conventional hotel stays in the bustling city center. Nestled within the lush woodlands of Karen, ideally located for visits to Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and other attractions.
Overnight at Nairobi Tented Camp (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)
Days 2 - 4
Early breakfast then transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson (domestic) airport for the morning flight to Selenkay / Amboseli. Met at the airstrip and transfer to Porini Amboseli Camp for 2 nights. Take a game drives & guided walks in the Selenkay Conservancy, with an opportunity to visit local Maasai village. A full morning game drive can also be taken in Amboseli National Park.
All the big cats have been seen in the Conservancy as well as elephants and a wide range of species including large numbers of giraffes, zebra, and antelopes. There are also less common animals to be seen such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu and African wildcat. Enjoy sundowners at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro then continue with a night game drive and return to camp for dinner.
Overnight at Porini Amboseli Camp
Days 5 - 7
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi, where you will then connect to the flight to Olseki Airstrip in the Maasai Mara. Porini Giraffe Camp staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to camp for 3 nights Game drives are taken in the exclusive Ripoi Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the reserve.
You can also opt to visit the Masai Mara Reserve (extra park fee charges may apply, see below). Should you choose the latter, a picnic lunch will be provided in the park.
Overnight at Porini Giraffe Camp.
Note: From July 1 to September 30, a one-day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve is already included in your package.
Day 8
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Ripoi Conservancy, returning to Porini Giraffe Camp for breakfast. You will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to either the international airport or a Nairobi hotel.
(please note that hotel accommodation is not included but can be arranged for an additional fee).
You may choose to add extra nights at any of the Porini Camps. Alternatively, consider extending your stay by flying to the Kenya Coast or the Island of Zanzibar, where you can unwind on the pristine white beaches of the Indian Ocean.

Jambo, I’m Tommy Mees, most people call me Tom.
My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
Having travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic wilderness experiences and the conservation-focused approach of the Porini Camps.
I am originally from Belgium and now based in Spain, though my heart has always remained in Africa.
