If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing Kenya’s legendary wildlife in its natural habitat—without the crowds and with all the comforts of responsible travel—the Porini Game Drive Safari is your perfect match. This 7-day safari adventure takes you deep into some of Kenya’s most celebrated and biodiverse landscapes, combining thrilling game viewing with sustainable luxury in award-winning Porini Camps.
Your journey begins in Selenkay Conservancy, within the greater Amboseli ecosystem, known for its wide-open plains, acacia woodlands, and close encounters with some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. From here, you’ll then fly across the Rift Valley to the world-renowned Masai Mara region, where the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy and Olare Motorogi Conservancy offer unrivalled opportunities to see big cats, giraffes, wildebeest, and more—with far fewer vehicles than in the national park.
Each location offers something different—from iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro to the rolling savannahs of the Mara—and the freedom to explore in ways not permitted in national parks. Enjoy day and night game drives in open-sided 4×4 vehicles, guided bush walks led by Maasai warriors, and sundowners in breathtaking wilderness settings.

Tour Experiences
Day 1
At 9:00 AM, you will be picked up from Nairobi and transferred by road to Selenkay Conservancy, a journey of approximately 128 miles (5 hours), arriving in time for lunch. Please note: An optional flight upgrade is available at an additional cost.
In the afternoon, after enjoying tea, Maasai warriors will guide you on a cultural walk to a nearby village, offering an authentic insight into their rich traditions and way of life. Return to camp to freshen up with a shower, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Porini Amboseli Camp.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park for a morning game drive, exploring the diverse wildlife within the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning surroundings before returning to camp.
In the evening, after dinner, embark on an exciting night game drive, using a spotlight to seek out nocturnal species such as aardvarks, serval cats, and bat-eared foxes, among others. Overnight at Porini Amboseli Camp.
Day 3
Awake to the serene sounds of the local birdlife. After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your 09:05 AM flight, arriving at Wilson Airport at 09:50 AM. At 10:00 AM, depart from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport on a one-hour flight to the Mara, where you will be met at Naboisho Ol Seki airstrip by Porini Mara staff and transferred to camp.
Upon arrival, settle into your tent and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch by the camp’s chef. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, culminating with a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint. Return to camp, with a night game drive en route, using a spotlight with a red filter to observe nocturnal wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 4
Awake to the tranquil sounds of the Mara’s vibrant birdlife. Shortly after dawn, depart camp to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, keeping an eye out for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, plains game, and the big cats. Enjoy a bush breakfast in the heart of the wilderness before returning to camp for lunch.
In the afternoon, set out on another game drive through Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies, culminating with a sundowner at a scenic spot. As dusk falls, embark on a night game drive, using spotlights to seek out nocturnal animals, including the elusive resident leopards of Ol Kinyei, before returning to camp for dinner.
Day 5
After breakfast, depart from camp and enjoy a scenic drive through Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies, with opportunities for game viewing along the way. Continue to Olare Motorogi Conservancy, arriving at Porini Lion Camp in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive within the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy, where you will have excellent chances of encountering lions, cheetahs, and leopards – all of which thrive in this region. Conclude the day with a sundowner, followed by a night game drive. Overnight at Porini Lion Camp.
Day 6
Enjoy a full day to explore the Conservancy at your leisure, or opt for a game drive in the renowned Masai Mara Reserve. If you choose the latter, a picnic lunch will be provided in the park before returning to camp in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, unwind with a sundowner in the Conservancy followed by a night game drive. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at Porini Lion Camp.
NB: for 1 July to 30 September we have already included a one day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve.
Day 7
Optional Balloon Safari and Champagne Breakfast, at a supplement.
Begin the day with a final early morning game drive in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, returning to camp for breakfast. Later in the morning, transfer to the airstrip for your 11:00 AM flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, arriving shortly after 12:00 noon. Met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward arrangements.
Alternatively, opt to extend your stay for an additional night at Porini Lion Camp.
Or we can arrange for you to overnight in a Nairobi hotel (hotel not included but can be added at a supplement).
You may choose to add extra nights at any of the Porini Camps. Alternatively, consider extending your stay by flying to the Kenya Coast or the Island of Zanzibar, where you can unwind on the pristine white beaches of the Indian Ocean.
