&Beyond Suyian Lodge
Nestled within the Suyian Conservancy, 44,000 acres of privately protected wilderness on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau, &Beyond Suyian Lodge offers a thoughtful blend of low-impact design, meaningful conservation, and a deep respect for the surrounding landscape. Set along the edge of an escarpment, the lodge overlooks open plains, rocky outcrops, and the Ewaso Narok River, creating a setting that feels connected to the land and its wildlife.
The 14 luxury suites, including one designed for families — are built into the natural contours of the escarpment, and built using local materials, organic textures, and understated, functional comfort. Subtle references to Samburu culture and carefully crafted details give each space a strong sense of place, while private plunge pools offer quiet vantage points over the conservancy.
Activities at Suyian are designed to deepen understanding of the wildlife, landscape and the communities who depend on it. Guests can join twice daily game drives, guided walks, explore the area on camel or horseback, or meet local herders to learn about rangeland stewardship. Scenic helicopter excursions offer a breathtaking perspective of northern Kenya’s diverse landscapes.
The lodge’s wellness space features a steam room, treatment rooms, a cold plunge, gym, and a dedicated yoga studio built into the rock. Meals are prepared with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, many of them grown on site.
A stay at &Beyond Suyian Lodge offers an opportunity to experience Laikipia’s ecosystems, cultures, and conservation efforts in an environment that prioritises sustainability, community partnerships, and a genuine connection to nature.

Hi, I’m Rae, based on the West Coast of Canada, on beautiful Vancouver Island. I’m a passionate traveler who has explored nearly 30 countries, but it was a solo journey to Africa that truly transformed my perspective. From the moment I arrived in Botswana, I felt an undeniable connection to the continent and was inspired to spend more time experiencing its extraordinary wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and rich cultures. My solo travels have since taken me through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, Namibia, and Kenya, where I experienced Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps firsthand. It was during these immersive and unforgettable journeys that my passion for Africa evolved into a clear vision: to join the Gamewatchers team and help others discover the magic of safari. I’d love to connect and plan your wildest dreams!
