The resort has been hosting guests since the 1930’s and since this time it has developed into 55 acres of attractive grounds including manicured lawns dappled by the shade of acacia and pepper trees. There is still much character and charm from the old colonial architecture and styling yet modern comforts and amenities have been incorporated into the tasteful rooms and various modern facilities (including a swimming pool) have been added.
Any stay at Lake Naivasha Country Club is enhanced by the high standard of hospitality and cuisine that the hotel ensures. The agricultural area around Naivasha is renowned for its good quality fruit and vegetables and the Chef provides guests with fine dishes prepared with these fresh local ingredients.
A highlight of a stay at Lake Naivasha Country Club is a trip to Crescent Island – a 15 minute boat ride across the lake. This is a private game sanctuary where guests can have the unique experience of wandering on foot close to the wildlife (including zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and vervet monkeys) due to the absence of predators.

Lake Naivasha Country Club has 50 elegant rooms including Standard Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Executive Cottages, Executive Suites and a Presidential Suite (two-bedroom cottage). All rooms have en suite facilities.
Facilities & Activities
The hotel has a dining room, a choice of bars, a resident’s lounge with cosy fire-place and lovely lake-side lawns on which to relax. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a pool side bar and a childrens’ pool, a beauty treatment room providing a range of health and beauty options, a snooker room and a gift shop.
Most days meals are taken on the lawns, in the shade of the trees. There are buffet-style breakfasts and lunches, and evening meals can be buffet or fixed-menu.
Activities (various charges may apply) include game drives, walking safaris, birdwatching walks / cruises, sunset cruises on the lake, a hippo cruise, fishing trips and day trips to nearby Crescent Island, Elsemere and Hells Gate National Park.
