4 Day Volcanoes & Gorillas Safari

Embark on an unforgettable four-day adventure through Rwanda’s most iconic landscape—Parc National des Volcans—where mist-shrouded volcanoes, emerald valleys, and encounters with endangered mountain gorillas await.

Your journey begins in Kigali with a visit to the Genocide Memorial, offering a moving introduction to Rwanda’s resilient spirit and rich cultural heritage. From there, ascend through scenic highlands to the volcanic peaks of the north, where the Virunga Mountains rise dramatically from the countryside.

The highlight of your stay is a guided trek into the rainforest to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat—a rare and humbling experience that few will ever forget. Led by expert trackers and rangers, the trek offers a chance to witness these gentle giants up close as they feed, play, and interact in the dense undergrowth.

For those who wish to delve deeper, the tour offers a range of optional excursions, from golden monkey tracking to climbing Mt. Bisoke or visiting the grave of pioneering primatologist Dian Fossey. Whether you’re seeking physical challenge, profound connection with wildlife, or serene reflection in one of Africa’s most beautiful landscapes, this safari delivers it all.
