Water Lovers

Water Lovers offers a wonderful alternative to the large resort hotels of the Mombasa coast. With just 8 suites it retains a unique personal service and exclusive charm. It has an attractive setting on the white sandy shores of Diani Beach on Kenya’s stunning coast, lapped by the Indian Ocean. This stretch of coast offers the best beaches, away from the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts. Mombasa is 35km to the North, and there is an airstrip at nearby Ukunda.

Accommodation

Water Lovers is comprised of just eight spacious suites and a self contained villa with a pool. Each suite is decorated with a perfect mix of Swahili culture and Mediterranean architecture and boasts private individual verandahs that overlook the vast Indian Ocean. All the rooms come with air conditioning as well as a fan, mosquito nets and a safe.

Facilities

The beach restaurant, The Tide, serves the finest of Mediterranean cuisine using fresh local ingredients where possible. The chefs pride themselves on a fine selection of international style dishes, and warm, homemade breads and mouth watering desserts are just a taste of what is on offer.

The beach bar, “Ocean Spirit” is the perfect place to enjoy a cool beer, cocktail or aperitif accompanied by good music – a truly relaxing way to spend an afternoon or evening.

Next to the restaurant there is also an attractive free-form infinity pool – ideal for lazy days spent soaking up the African sun.

Sally Wanjau

Hello, I am Sally Wanjau, and I have been travelling to Kenya on safari since the 1980’s which led to me living and working there for several years. Married to a Kenyan, it is a place that I now call home. I currently live in the UK with my husband. For a number of years, I ran my own safari business as an agent working closely with Gamewatchers Safaris creating unique and tailor-made holidays for my clients, and in 2017 I joined Gamewatchers Safaris full-time as one of their dedicated team of Safari Advisers.
