Amazing experience and holiday

Amazing experience and holiday, from start to finish. Both Botswana and Zimbabwe, lived up to all I read. I can’t fault this company, during and after planning they were very communicative, always answering questions
May in Botswana--do it!

We didn't want to go on a standard group "tour" of southern Africa so we hooked up with Gamewatchers, who created a bespoke safari for my wife and I, my daughter, and her boyfriend. Our agent, Wayne, who is himself a seasoned African safari photographer, patiently assessed our needs and booked us into four venues__Ilala lodge in Vic Falls to start, then off to the bush and flood plains at Chobe Elephant Camp, Rra Dinare, and Splash camp, the latter two in the Okavanga Delta. Everything was set up perfectly and each camp had its unique charms and terrain. The small aircraft transfers were right on schedule and we were expected, welcomed, and well cared-for in each camp. A lot of trust is required in booking these trips, and Gamewatchers delivered 100 percent. We felt the warm embrace of May in Botswana, an experience we will never forget. I don't think you need to spend a ton of cash for five-star luxury. We went for mostly the mid-level camps which were comfortable, charming, and intimate, and which placed us very close to the environment we were seeking. The open-air vehicles were awesome and our guides and trackers, mostly local villagers, were incredibly skilled and knowledgeable and showed a genuine love for the world we were exploring. We were blown away by all the game we saw, the amazing stars, the vast terrain of the delta and Chobe national park, and the wonderful people who hosted us. In short, we wouldn't have changed a thing.
Africa!

FAQs — Luxury Botswana Safaris.

Yes. In fact, Botswana is widely considered one of the safest countries in all of Africa to go on a safari. That being said, we take precautions to always monitor security levels where we operate in Africa, with our main priority keeping you safe. Read more about safety, along with other travel information in Botswana here.
In many cases, yes. We can recommend suitable camps, activities and transfer options, and plan a bespoke trip to accommodate any mobility issues. Please note, some safari experiences mentioned here, such as the canoe safaris, involve steps, uneven ground or getting in and out of boats and vehicles.
The best time is in June-July, as this is the peak delta season, when the Okavango flood is at its highest. The rising waters act as a giant magnet for wildlife, marking the end of the (usually) dry winter. This presents a wonderful opportunity during the year to see thousands of animals all congregating in one place. However, there are great reasons to visit Botswana all year round. Depending on what time suits you best and what you want to do. Speak to our specialists today for a bespoke Botswana safari that fits around when you’re able to travel.
Yes. In fact, the majority of our customers do this. The most popular multi-destination trips include Namibia, Zambia and South Africa. But truth be told, if you really want it, we can make it happen. We operate in countries all over southern and eastern Africa. Many safari-goers like to end their trip with a beach holiday in one of the many tropical paradises we also operate in, such as the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. View all of the safari holiday destinations we operate in here, and read more about how we can put together your dream multi-destination safari package here.
Yes. Although Victoria Falls is actually located along the Zambia and Zimbabwe border, we can easily arrange a trip there for our guests. It is a popular request for our guests visiting Botswana on a multi-destination trip to include Victoria Falls.
Yes. We will take care of everything on your arrival. Meeting you at the airport, transport cross-country (and to wherever other African countries you’re visiting), food and drink. Some accommodations even include laundry. If you have any questions about a particular place of accommodation, please consult one of our specialists.
