Northern Tanzania Highlights - Nimali Camps Circuit
This safari takes you to Tarangire for 2 nights, then you visit the Ngorongoro Crater for a day and lastly you stay 2 nights in central Serengeti and a further 2 nights in Northern Serengeti. The safari takes you to some of the best places in Tanzania to view wildlife in their natural setting.
This itinerary is perfect for those who want to take advantage of the great game-viewing in Tanzania’s flagship national parks, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro conservation area and Tarangire. Travellers will stay at Nimali Tarangire in Tarangire National park, Lemala Ngorongoro– a seasonal tented camp in an ancient acacia forest on Ngorongoro Crater rim. Nimali Central Serengeti Camp and Nimali Mara Camp.

Tour Experiences
Days 1 & 2 - Tarangire
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport to arrive in the morning or early afternoon (latest by 2.00 pm), you will be met by a Gamewatchers representative and assisted to your safari vehicle and begin your journey to Nimali Tarangire where you will stay for the next two nights, gamedrives & a full day tour of Tarangire National Park
Day 3 - Ngorongoro
Breakfast at the lodge and then depart by 9 am for Ngorongoro, arriving at about 11.15 am. Descend into the Crater for game viewing and a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon, drive out of the crater and on to Lemala Ngorongoro for the night. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Ngorongoro.
Days 4 & 5 - Serengeti
After enjoying breakfast at your camp, proceed with check-out and depart for Lake Manyara National Park, where you will embark on a short game drive. Later, transfer to Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled afternoon flight to Seronera. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received by a Nimali safari vehicle and driver-guide.
Begin your game viewing experience in the Serengeti National Park at Nimali Central Serengeti Camp, for the next two nights.
Days 6 & 7
Breakfast at camp. Check out and transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight to Kogatende (flight departs at 09:00 am to arrive at 10:05 am) Met at the airstrip by a Nimali Mara Camp safari vehicle and driver-guide. Start game viewing in the North Serengeti, which is your base for the next two nights.
Day 8 - End
Breakfast at camp. Check out and transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro for onward connections (flight departs at 9:45 am to arrive at 12:30 pm, approximately, via Arusha).

Jambo, I’m Tommy Mees, most people call me Tom.
My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
Having travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic wilderness experiences and the conservation-focused approach of the Porini Camps.
I am originally from Belgium and now based in Spain, though my heart has always remained in Africa.
