From the very start, the Kifaru Safari offers something unique—your first night is at Nairobi Tented Camp, a classic safari camp nestled in the heart of Nairobi. Next, fly north to the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a pioneering reserve for endangered species and home to the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. Here, you’ll have the chance to track lions, enjoy walking safaris, and even ride near rhinos with expert guides—all while supporting vital conservation efforts.
Your safari then continues to the award-winning Ol Kinyei Conservancy, deep in the Masai Mara ecosystem, where you’ll experience an uncrowded, off-the-beaten-track safari with day and night game drives in 4×4 vehicles, guided bush walks, and awe-inspiring sightings of elephants, big cats, and more. Enjoy sundowners in scenic spots, spot elusive nocturnal wildlife after dark, and walk beside Maasai warriors for a deeper cultural connection to the land.
With seamless fly-in transfers, the Kifaru Safari offers maximum wildlife time and minimum travel fuss. Tour Experiences
Day 1
You will be picked up from Nairobi Airport or central Nairobi and transferred to Nairobi Tented Camp, an exceptional alternative to conventional hotel stays in the bustling city center. Nestled within the lush woodlands of Karen, ideally located for visits to Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and other attractions.
Overnight at Nairobi Tented Camp (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2
After breakfast transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for the morning flight to Nanyuki (duration 1 hr 10 mins). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Spend 2 nights at Porini Rhino Camp (fully Inclusive of meals, beer, wine, soft drinks, mineral water, gin & tonics, game drives, sundowners, visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and park fees). Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off on a game drive with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Enjoy a full day of exploration in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, featuring game drives and walking activities directly from the camp.
Optional activities available at an additional cost include a visit to the Endangered Species Boma, home to the world’s last two remaining Northern White Rhinos, as well as Lion Tracking experiences.
After a day filled with wildlife encounters, return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4
Start your day with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. You will then transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara (during the off-season, flights will be via Nairobi). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Porini Mara Camp, in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, arriving in time for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint. This will be followed by a night game drive, where spotlights will be used to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards that reside in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy.
After an exciting day of wildlife encounters, return to Porini Mara Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5
Enjoy a full day to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy and neighbouring Naboisho Conservancy at your leisure, or opt for an exhilarating game drive in the renowned Masai Mara. Should you choose the latter, a picnic lunch will be provided in the park before returning to camp in the late afternoon.
In the evening, unwind with a sundowner in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, followed by a night game drive to discover the nocturnal wildlife. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at Porini Mara Camp.
Note: From July 1 to September 30, a one-day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve is already included in your package.
Day 6
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, returning to Porini Mara Camp for breakfast. You will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to either the international airport or a Nairobi hotel.
(please note that hotel accommodation is not included but can be arranged for an additional fee).
You may choose to add extra nights at any of the Porini Camps. Alternatively, consider extending your stay by flying to the Kenya Coast or the Island of Zanzibar, where you can unwind on the pristine white beaches of the Indian Ocean.
