Designed for photographers of all levels, this small-group journey combines three of the country’s most spectacular destinations: Mana Pools National Park, Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls.

Spend four nights in Mana Pools, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional wildlife encounters along the Zambezi River and opportunities to explore on foot. Continue to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest national park, famous for its vast elephant herds and diverse wildlife, before ending your journey at Victoria Falls.

Throughout the safari, Alison will share her knowledge and passion for wildlife, conservation and photography, helping guests make the most of every photographic opportunity while enjoying an immersive experience in Zimbabwe’s extraordinary wilderness.

Alison Mees - Wildlife Photographer
Alison Mees is a wildlife conservationist, qualified guide and award winning photographer, who gained the ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society) in 2021. Alison was born in the UK, and from an early age had a passion for wildlife and photography.
Before the pandemic Alison was living and working in Africa for over 17 years, she started in South Luangwa, Zambia then moved to East Africa – Kenya & Tanzania, where she was managing tented safari camps with her husband Tom.
Alison has been actively involved with cheetah conservation, supporting researchers with valuable data & photographs.  She has also been involved with local community projects over the years, supporting communities and school projects.  Currently she is working with PadMad & Gamewatchers Safaris to support girls continue their education with supplying re usable sanitary pads. 
Since the pandemic Alison leads small safari groups to Kenya, where she shares her knowledge and passion for the wildlife, conservation and photography that she knows so well.

Day 1 - Harare

Arrive at Harare International Airport, where you will be met by a local representative and transferred privately to the Holiday Inn Harare.
This first evening provides an opportunity to relax after your international journey and meet fellow guests before the safari begins in earnest.

Overnight: Holiday Inn, Harare
Meals: Bed & Breakfast

Days 2 - 5 - Mana Pools National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Harare Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Mana Pools National Park. On arrival, transfer to camp for lunch and your first afternoon safari activity.
Spend the next four nights immersed in the spectacular wilderness of Mana Pools, set along the Zambezi River. Enjoy a combination of game drives and guided walking activities, subject to the camp schedule, with excellent opportunities for wildlife and bird photography.
Hosted by wildlife photographer Alison Mees, the safari offers the chance to develop your photography skills while observing wildlife in one of Zimbabwe’s most extraordinary wilderness environments.

Days 6 - 9 - Hwange National Park

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Hwange National Park. On arrival, transfer to Nehimba Lodge for lunch and an afternoon game drive.
Spend four nights exploring Hwange, Zimbabwe’s largest national park, with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife, including its famous elephant herds, provide exceptional opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography.
With Alison Mees hosting the safari, there will be plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife, capture memorable images and benefit from her experience and photographic guidance.

Day 10 - Victoria Falls

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Victoria Falls Airport.
On arrival, transfer privately to Bayete Guest Lodge. Relax and enjoy your final evening in Zimbabwe before departure.

Overnight: Bayete Guest Lodge : Bed & Breakfast.

Day 11 - Depart

Enjoy your final morning in Victoria Falls before departing Zimbabwe, bringing your hosted Zimbabwe Wildlife Photography Safari with Alison Mees to an end.

You may choose to extend your safari by adding on a beach extension where you can unwind on the pristine white beaches of the Indian Ocean.
