What animals will you see on a Porini safari in Kenya?

Our guests often ask what animals they can expect to see when staying at Porini Safari Camps. This is a list of 71 species seen by our Founder, Jake Grieves-Cook, while on game drives from our camps: Nairobi Tented Camp (accessing Nairobi National Park), Porini Amboseli Camp (in Selenkay Conservancy, Amboseli), Porini Rhino Camp (in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Laikipia), Porini Mara Camp & Porini Cheetah Camp (Ol Kinyei & Naibosho Conservancies in the Mara), Porini Giraffe Camp (Mara Ripoi Conservancy in the Mara) and Porini Lion Camp (Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the Mara).

Kenya has an incredible diversity of wildlife species owing to its two rainy seasons a year and the different types of wildlife habitat in the various parks, reserves and conservancies.

As you can see, there is plenty to be found in addition to “The Big Five”…
