Elephant Watching & Big Cats Safari

"A superb-value 7 day fly-in safari to some of Africa's best wildlife locations for viewing elephants, lions, leopards and much more" -

This 7 day special-value safari offers a great opportunity to see Africa’s iconic animals – including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards and giraffes – in vast wildlife conservancies where they are free and protected in their natural habitat, away from the tourist crowds.

The tour starts with a flight from Nairobi to the award-winning Selenkay Conservancy, a vast area of pristine landscape that has been set aside for wildlife to thrive. Spend 3 nights at Porini Amboseli Camp set deep in the African bush. Explore the Conservancy each day and evening by 4×4 safari vehicle (with expert driver-guide). Includes a visit into Amboseli National Park on one day.

On Day 4 you will fly to the Maasai Mara for a further 3 nights at Porini Mara Camp which has just 6 guest tents sited within the exclusive 18,700 acre Ol Kinyei Conservancy. A visit is made into the Masai Mara National Reserve on one day.

From each camp, guests take day and night game drives within the conservancies which are teeming with wildlife. Drives are by custom-built, open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles (not tourist vans) with a driver-guide and a spotter. Porini guests also enjoy bush picnics and romantic sundowners and can join Maasai warriors for guided walks to learn more about Kenya’s fascinating flora and fauna.

The conservancies are formed of pristine wilderness with open savannah plains, riverine forest, springs, streams and rivers, rolling hills and spectacular views.

Porini Safari Camps are Fully Inclusive of:

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and selected drinks (beer, house wine, gin & tonics, mineral water, sodas)
  • Bush Breakfasts
  • Game drives in custom-built 4×4 open-sided safari vehicles
  • Morning and evening / night shared game drives (private vehicles available at a supplement)
  • Expert Maasai driver-guides
  • Escorted walks with Maasai guides
  • Sundowner drinks to watch the sunset from scenic viewing points

Porini guest tents are spacious and each has solar electric lights and an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. The camp Chefs prepare good quality meals – hot dishes, fresh salads and home baked bread.

Note: This tour includes flights between Nairobi and safari areas (and back) to avoid wasting hours travelling by road and to get you straight to the wildlife. Departures are flexible (any day of the week) but exclude the rainy season from mid Apr to end of May.

We can arrange Nairobi transfers as well an overnight stay in Nairobi (at a supplement) at the start or end of your safari depending on your international flight times.
