The Residence
Opened in early 1998, along side one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with over white powdery sand, The Residence Mauritius recreates the atmosphere of the 1920’s in a refined and luxurious colonial setting. Built on a beautiful plot on the East Coast, it harmoniously combines modernity and tradition. Recapture the elegance of a bygone era.
Accommodation
There are 135 luxurious rooms and 28 suites, each with a spacious balcony where you have the choice of Garden View rooms, Ocean View rooms, Ocean Front rooms and Colonial Ocean View Suites and Colonial Ocean Front Suites. Each room has the sun’s dance on the shutters that sifts into the interior to create a melody of light and dark shadows.
The hotel has 1 kilometer long beach and located in the coastal road of belle mare and has a turquoise intense d’un lagoon. The Residence Mauritius is an oasis of elegant luxury with ocean views that stretch to infinity, majestic tranquility and exotic harmonies of form, shades and moods. The long view down the beach expands to 2/3 mile and the palm treed gardens offer a shady retreat. The Residence Hotel is located 30 miles or 48km from the Mauritius’ national airport, which is approximately one hour’s drive.

The Dining Room: As the main restaurant of the hotel, all the native produce of the island is displayed through its creative and authentic selections.
The Verandah: The lunch menu features a choice of exciting light dishes served around the pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The Plantation: The marriage of a spectacular oceanfront setting with an original approach to the freshest seafood and Creole cuisine makes this restaurant a destination for both Mauritians and hotel guests.
The Gourmet Kiosque: Located close to the swimming pool, it serves delicious sweets snacks and desserts.
