Not at all. Each tent at our Porini Camps is spacious and offers a classic safari style with a double and twin bed, en-suite facilities, solar-powered lighting, charging points, and a private veranda. The dining tent and lounge are large and inviting centres to relax in.

Are there hidden costs I should worry about?
No. Accommodation at Porini Camps is fully inclusive of all meals, drinks (beer, wine, sodas, vodka, gin & tonics and mineral water) as well as all activities (including day and night game drives, escorted walks and sundowners).
Limited laundry is available at no charge. Laundry is done by hand and dried outdoors; turnaround time is dependent on the weather. Out of respect to local culture and customs, we do not wash underwear. Washing powder is provided in all of our guest rooms, should guests wish to wash their own.
Will we get close to the animals?
Yes, in all locations you can expect good close-ups with the abundant wildlife. We work with local Maasai guides, who are personally familiar with individual animals and territories in the conservancies. They often know the animals by name and can read subtle behavioural cues and anticipate animal movements.

How will we get to all of these remote and far-flung places?
We will do all the planning for you, so it’s easy. As one example, to get to Porini Giraffe Camp from Nairobi, we use the daily scheduled airline services.
We will, of course, book all of this on your behalf — so all you have to do is unwind.
Will I need to plan everything myself?
Absolutely not. Our specialists can plan, book, and arrange everything on your behalf, so all you have to do is pack your clothes and passport and enjoy the ride. From national park fees, hotels outside of our camps, to transfers, meals and more, we handle all the details.

My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
