A 7-night flying luxury safari which visits the remote Katavi National Park where you will stay at the Mbali Mbali Katavi then on to the stunning Mbali Mbali Mahale in the Mahale Mountains where you have the opportunity to track wild chimpanzees in pristine forest.

Day 1 (Thur)

Morning Shared Charter Flight from Arusha Airport to Katavi Airstrip. Vehicle transfer to the lodge combined with game drives (if time allows). Staff welcome and introductions followed by lunch. Afternoon/early evening game drives (if time allows). Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight at Mbali Mbali Katavi.

Day 2 (Fri)

After breakfast, depart the lodge for your morning game drive at the Katavi National Park. Return to the lodge for brunch/early lunch. Afternoon at leisure . Afternoon/early evening game drive. Evening sundowner, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3 (Sat)

After breakfast, depart the lodge for a full day game drive of the Katavi National Park with a packed lunch. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Evening sundowner, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 (Sun)

After breakfast, depart the lodge for your morning game drive at the Katavi National Park. Return to the lodge for brunch/early lunch. Afternoon at leisure . Afternoon/early evening game drive. Evening sundowner, dinner, and overnight at the lodge. Book an optional night game drive.

Day 5 (Mon)

After breakfast, morning vehicle transfer to Katavi Airstrip combined with game drive (if time allows). Shared Charter Flight from Katavi Airstrip to Mahale Airstrip. Dhow boat transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to the lodge. Staff welcome and introductions followed by lunch. Afternoon/early evening chimpanzee trekking or forest walks (if time allows). Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight at Mbali Mbali Mahale.

Day 6 (Tues)

After breakfast, depart for morning chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure perhaps to kayak. Evening sundowners, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 (Wed)

After breakfast, depart for morning chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Boat Safari along the lakeshore in the late afternoon. Evening sundowners, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8 (Thur)

After breakfast, morning dhow boat transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to Mahale Airstrip. Depart with Shared Charter Flight to Arusha Airport with packed lunch.
