Chem Chem is an exclusive Lodge that is situated in a superb location. Comprising of 4000 Hectares of private land, this stunning property is nesteld between the huge savvanas of Tarangire National Park. At the same time, it borders Lake Manyara, famous for its Birdlife. This ideal location places ChemChem right in the middle of both Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park – right in the “Migraton corridor”.

The surrounding beauty and stunning views of the Rift Valley make this place an unforgetable Memory with the best of both worlds at its feet. Tarangire National Park is home to one of the largest Elephant Populations in east Africa while Lake Manyara offers its sparkling waters rich in with pink clouds of Flamingo. Chem Chem is open form June to March every year and welcomes children from the ages of 12 and above.

At Chem Chem, we promote the “Slow Safari” whereby the Guests Safari Experience continues on after their game drives and is carried forward in the décor and elements of the lodge, the various meals, activites and surroundings.

Accommodation

Chem Chem offers a romantic setting with just 8 luxurious tents. Decorated in vintage interiors, the tents are styled with dark woods and earth tones and offer a reading area, bathroom and outdoor shower as well as an outside deck area to enjoy sundowners and firelight. The property also houses the main dining area and lounge, a library, pool and sun deck as well as a spa for your enjoyment.

Activities

At Chem Chem, activities are full and numerous. Explore the concession on foot or on horseback with excellent guides. For an extra treat, Chem Chem are also able to cater for Picnic meals and barbeques on the shores of Lake Manyara.
