Rwanda Parks and Attractions

This most famous of Rwanda’s National Parks is comprised of the dramatic scenery of the Virunga Volcanoes and is home to many family groups of endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Located on Rwanda’s Eastern border, Akagera National Park has a vast 2500 square kilometres of savannah plains and is home to a wide variety of animals and birdlife.

As one of Africa’s last high altitude rainforests this beautiful mountainous terrain is home to various primates including chimpanzees and is Rwanda’s most important site for bird watching.

As one of Africa’s spectacular Great Lakes, Lake Kivu has beautiful sandy shores and wonderful views. It is the perfect place to relax after any Rwandan adventure.
