Gamewatchers has been operating safaris for over 25 years and during that time has established an honest reputation with our clients as well as with our travel trade partners.

Gamewatchers is licensed as a safari operator by the Kenya government and is a member of the Kenya Association of Tour Operators which requires strict standards of all its members.
You can book and pay for your safari with Gamewatchers using your credit card, Visa or Mastercard, via a secure online payment process. Payment by credit card gives you financial security as your payment is controlled by your credit card company.
And for your peace of mind, all customers booking a safari of 7 nights or more with Gamewatchers receive free membership of the Flying Doctor Service while they are on safari in East Africa.
5. Support For Conservation & Local Communities
In Kenya, we pioneered the “Conservancy Concept” – the leasing of land to form community-owned wildlife conservancies adjacent to the national parks.
This approach has transformed the areas adjoining Amboseli National Park and the Mara Reserve where wildlife habitat has regenerated, enlarging the area available for wild animals.
Wildlife numbers have increased in these protected areas, with the “Big Five” all evident as well as many rare or endangered species. Visitor numbers to the Conservancies are strictly controlled to avoid over-use of the land, so guests who choose to stay at Porini Camps (within the Conservancies) benefit from premium game-viewing with few – if any – other tourist vehicles present.
The Conservancy Concept has brought financial advantages to the local people. Over 200 members of the local communities are working with Gamewatchers Safaris & Porini Camps, while over 500 families earn a steady monthly income from leasing land inside the conservancies.

We also feature special offers such as free Nairobi airport transfers and free hotels when you book six or more nights at our selection of the leading camps in Kenya. Click here to see our Special Offers for more details.
7. Managed by Experienced People
Gamewatchers Safaris & Porini Camps was founded by Jake Grieves-Cook, a long-time safari operator and supporter of wildlife conservation in Kenya who has served on the board of the Kenya Wildlife Service which runs the country’s national parks, and for six years was Chairman of Kenya’s national tourist board.
The company’s Managing Directore is Dr Mohanjeet Brar whose family has lived for 5 generations on the forested slopes of the Aberdare mountains in Kenya’s highlands. Mohanjeet grew up with a keen interest in nature and wildlife. He has a Doctorate degree in Plant Science from the US and is a certified safari guide. Mohanjeet leads the Gamewatchers team whose aim is to try always to provide unsurpassed personal service and to ensure you have a memorable safari.
