Nyungwe Forest is the largest single tract of forest in East Africa and the biggest water reservoir for Rwanda. It is home to various primates including chimpanzees, black and white colobus, mangabey and unique plant species including rare orchids. It is also home for endangered bird species making it a suitable destination for bird lovers.
Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel has incomparable views of the Nyungwe Forest National Park, Kahuzi Biega National Park, surrounding tea plantations, Lake Kivu, the volcanoes and Idjwi Island right from the top of the hill.

Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is comprised of just 12 rooms – 4 twin and 8 double-bedded guest rooms – each with a sitting room with a cosy fire place and a balcony with beautiful views of the sunrise or sunset over the surrounding area. All rooms have private en suite facilities.
Facilities & Activities
Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel has a well stocked bar and a restaurant with an open terrace ideal for a relaxing evening. The open terrace offers lovely views over the National Park, the surrounding tea plantations and Lake Kivu.
The hotel offers Bed & Breakfast, Half Board or Full Board. The restaurant offers a varied menu of African, Continental and Indian dishes. The Chef’s creative meals are of a high standard and include warming soups, stews and curries and fresh vegetables and fruits.
After a busy day of exploring the Nyungwe Forest National Park and its many attractions, guests enjoy relaxing with a drink in the public areas or on their private balcony from where they can enjoy stunning views of the undulating hills and forested slopes.
Guest can learn a little about the culture of the tribes of the nearby area as the hotel has regular evenings of music and dance when performances are held by local artists.
Key attractions in the area include the Canopy Walk through the trees of the rainforest, treks to waterfalls, various hiking trails through the forest, primate trekking and bird watching.
