Victoria Falls & Livingstone

Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, it is claimed to be the largest. This claim is based on a width of 1,708 metres (5,600 ft) and height of 108 metres (360 ft), forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world.

Victoria Falls town (Zimbabwe) lies on the southern bank of the Zambezi River at the eastern end of the Victoria Falls. It is a lovely tourist town which is easy to explore on foot and which offers a wide range of activities.

Livingstone (on the Zambian side) is a historic colonial town most famous for its proximity to the Victoria Falls. The town has experienced a revival in the last decade with the old colonial style buildings which line the shaded main avenue, being renovated and now housing shops, cafes and a variety of local businesses.
