Guests at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge have space and privacy in large detached stone and thatch cottages which are scattered throughout the lodge’s grounds.
With its individual cottages, beautiful views and convenient location, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is a great accommodation option for gorilla excursions in Rwanda.
Accommodation
Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is comprised of 30 separate guest cottages situated within its spacious grounds. The accommodation is of a simple style but each detached cottage is large and comfortable with contemporary furniture and individual artwork.
After a long day’s trekking in the Park National des Volcans, guests can unwind in their private lounge. Cosy fire places have been thoughtfully added to every cottage so that guests can warm themselves against the cool evening air at this high altitude.
There are spacious en-suite shower rooms and the private verandas allow guests to relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the Virunga Volcanoes.
Facilities
The public areas of Mountain Gorilla View Lodge include a restaurant serving home-cooked food and a small bar.

Jambo, I’m Tommy Mees, most people call me Tom.
My connection with Africa began through years of travelling across the continent.
I later spent more than twelve years managing safari camps and lodges while supporting conservation initiatives including beekeeping and tree-planting projects.
Having travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic wilderness experiences and the conservation-focused approach of the Porini Camps.
I am originally from Belgium and now based in Spain, though my heart has always remained in Africa.
