The River Camp

Tucked away along the Ngobit River in the heart of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, The River Camp is a boutique safari retreat where comfort, adventure, and conservation meet. Ol Pejeta is world-renowned for its pioneering conservation work and is home to the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos on earth, making a stay here truly unforgettable.

The camp’s riverside setting offers guests front-row views of wildlife. Black rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, and zebras frequent the riverbanks, while over 300 bird species thrive in the lush vegetation. Whether on a guided game drive, a walking safari, or simply relaxing on your private deck, you’ll be immersed in the sights and sounds of wild Africa.

Accommodation includes six spacious ensuite tents and a two-bedroom family tent, each with a private deck overlooking the river and a nearby watering hole. With indoor and outdoor showers, plush daybeds, and contemporary comforts, the design balances rustic charm with understated luxury. Guests can also enjoy the camp’s infinity pool, library, dining tent, al fresco deck, and spa treatments that capture the spirit of relaxation.

Evenings are best spent at the stylish riverside bar lounge, where sundowners come with sweeping views of Mount Kenya. Days bring a mix of adventure, from game drives and lion tracking with researchers to cultural visits with local Samburu communities.
