Kicheche Bush Camp
Nestled in the heart of Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Kicheche Bush Olare Camp offers an exclusive safari retreat with only six tented accommodations, including a family tent.
The camp is completely unfenced, allowing wildlife to roam freely, and game drives take place in open-air 4×4 Land Cruisers shared among guests—private use is available for an additional fee.
Each tent is generously sized and thoughtfully appointed, equipped with insect-proof netting, a choice of twin or double bedding, bedside furnishings, and en-suite bathrooms featuring traditional bucket showers, flushing toilets, and scenic views.
The communal lounge and dining area is an open-sided tent overlooking the expansive plains. Here, guests can enjoy freshly prepared meals and relax post-drive.
Dining is a delight—whether alfresco under acacia trees, under the stars, or in the main tent—with a fully stocked bar and picnic options available during game drives. Evenings are magical, with candlelit dinners followed by nightcaps around a crackling fire.
Each day at Kicheche Bush Oalre Camp begins with a gentle wake-up call—tea, coffee, or hot chocolate with homemade biscuits—before heading out on an early morning game drive. After a bush breakfast, guests return to unwind on their veranda or in the lounge. Later, a late-afternoon game drive concludes with sundowners, followed by social time by the campfire and then a peaceful retreat to the tents.

Hi, I’m Rae, based on the West Coast of Canada, on beautiful Vancouver Island. I’m a passionate traveler who has explored nearly 30 countries, but it was a solo journey to Africa that truly transformed my perspective. From the moment I arrived in Botswana, I felt an undeniable connection to the continent and was inspired to spend more time experiencing its extraordinary wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and rich cultures. My solo travels have since taken me through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, Namibia, and Kenya, where I experienced Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps firsthand. It was during these immersive and unforgettable journeys that my passion for Africa evolved into a clear vision: to join the Gamewatchers team and help others discover the magic of safari. I’d love to connect and plan your wildest dreams!
