Brad Wierman

Brad escorted his first of many safaris to Kenya back in 1984. Since then he has guided or visited Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa as well as many other worldwide destinations. 34 years later East Africa is still his favorite and his latest visit was in June 2018.

Sally Wanjau

Sally has been travelling to Kenya on safari since the 1980’s which led to her living and working there for a number of years. Having married a Kenyan, it is a place she now calls home. Currently living in the UK with her family, for a number of years Sally previously ran her own safari business as an agent working closely with Gamewatchers Safaris creating unique and tailor made holidays for her clients and has now joined us full-time as one of or dedicated team of Safari Advisers.

Having travelled extensively throughout East, South and Southern Africa, Sally remains passionate about Kenya, her love of which is fed by her many fantastic wildlife experiences at the Porini Camps.

Robyn Beattie

Robyn photoRobyn is the daughter of our founder, Jake Grieves-Cook. She was born in Kenya and has travelled extensively within the country, visiting all the famous wildlife parks and the leading camps and lodges. Steve Sturton-Davies

SteveSteve has lived in Kenya for several years when he was an airline manager based in Nairobi followed by other postings in Central and West Africa. He has visited the leading parks and reserves in Kenya and the coast. His favourite places to stay on safari are the 4 Porini Camps in Amboseli, Laikipia and Mara.

Wayne Hammond

Wayne has travelled to Africa over 30 times visiting Kenya (far too many times to remember), Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa and Mozambique. His favourite bush haunts include Kenya’s Masai Mara, Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, and South Luangwa national park in Zambia. He is a keen amateur wildlife photographer, occasional travel writer, and acts as a UK based Safari Consultant for Gamewatchers Safaris. Amanda Dobson

Amanda went on her first safari as a teenager where she fell in love with the wildlife and plains of Kenya. Over the years Amanda has returned time and time again to Kenya visiting many camps, conservancies and famous parks, more recently staying at all the Porini Camps where the emphasis is on wildlife conservation which is important to her when traveling. Not only has Kenya captured her heart and wanderlust, but Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda too.

Pranay Chandra

Pranay Chandra is a veteran from the Indian Armed Forces and has a deep passion for nature and wildlife. His passion led him to wildlife photography and his images have won accolades in the much acclaimed Sanctuary Asia annual wildlife awards.He was a  finalist in the Natural History Museum annual WPOY awards for 2010 from out of over  31,000 entries. Pranay has been very closely involved with Ecological Task Forces in India and has provided his assistance to WWF India in training of Forest Departmental staff at Corbett, Dudhwa and Pakke Tiger Reserves. He has also been involved with CEC, New Delhi ( Consortium for Educational Communication ) and has done a series of educational video recorded programmes on Human Wildlife Conflicts and its mitigation.

Pranay has been on safari in Kenya, staying at ourPorini camps as well as other leading camps in the wildlife parks, reserves and conservancies.
