Sunbird Lodge is a small and exclusive but affordable lodge; the property is located between Gilgil and Nakuru in the Great Rift Valley and set in 55 acres of grounds on the shores of Lake Elementaita.

The Lake Nakuru  lodge is  165kms from Nairobi.  Slightly over two hours drive on tarmac roads, and then 21kms of all weather road through the National Park.  It is 2,000 metres above sea level and  overlooks the Naishi airstrip, a 40-minute drive away where Chartered light aircrafts may land. The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike. A multitude of animals and birds can be found in Lake Nakuru National Park, including white and black rhinos and the rare Rothschild’s giraffes.
