Porini Safari Camps
These high-quality tented eco-camps are set within exclusive conservancies in some of Africa’s best Big Game areas. Designed with the feel of traditional bush camps, they have low impact on the environment with no permanent footprint and using eco-friendly fuel. The largest camp has just twelve tents, so they retain an exclusive and friendly feel with an emphasis on personal service.
The Conservancies of Selenkay, Ol Kinyei and Olare Orok are owned by the local Maasai communities and the camps are operated with the objective of creating income for them through employment and the leasing of land.
Each Conservancy is home to a wealth of animals including elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and zebra plus many less common species such as striped hyena, African wildcat and caracal. Visits can also be made into the official Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park.
