This 7 day safari is based on our Reduced Rates Special Offer and provides a great opportunity to see Africa’s iconic animals – including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards and giraffes – in vast wildlife conservancies where they are free and protected in their natural habitat, away from the tourist crowds.
The tour starts with a flight from Nairobi to the award-winning Selenkay Conservancy, a vast area of pristine landscape that has been set aside for wildlife to thrive. Spend 3 nights at Porini Amboseli Camp set deep in the African bush. You then continue to the Maasai Mara for a further 3 nights at Porini Mara Camp, sited within the exclusive 18,700 acre Ol Kinyei Conservancy.
The conservancies are formed of pristine wilderness with open savannah plains, riverine forest, springs, streams and rivers, rolling hills and spectacular views.

Tour Experiences




Day 1
Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport on the 7.30 am flight to Selenkay Conservancy. You will be met on arrival by your Driver & Guide from Porini Amboseli Camp who will transfer you to camp, with a game drive en route.
After lunch you will have an escorted walk to a nearby Maasai village to gain an insight into the way of life of the communities living outside the Selenkay Conservancy. You will then drive back into the Selenkay Conservancy. Enjoy a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro then continue with a night game drive and return to Porini Amboseli Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, return to camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive. Return to Porini Amboseli Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After an early breakfast, enjoy a walk with Maasai Guides. Take a rest after lunch and then go out on an afternoon game drive to explore the Selenkay Conservancy. All the big cats have been seen in the Conservancy as well as elephants and a wide range of species including large numbers of giraffes, zebra, and antelopes. There are also less common animals to be seen such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu and African wildcat. Return to Porini Amboseli Camp for dinner and overnight
Day 4
Early breakfast, drive to the airstrip for the flight to Wilson Airport, connecting onto the 10 am flight to the Mara (arriving at 11 am). You will be met at the airstrip by your Driver Guide and transfer to Porini Mara Camp, with a game drive en route. Settle into your tent before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon head out on a game drive with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei Conservancy, before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 5
Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara’s birdlife. Leave camp soon after dawn to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. You will have a bush breakfast out in the wilds and then return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a further game drive in Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei before heading back to camp for dinner.
Or opt for a game drive in the renowned Masai Mara Reserve. If you choose the latter, a picnic lunch will be provided in the park before returning to Porini Mara Camp in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, unwind with a sundowner in the Conservancy followed by a night game drive. Conclude your day with dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp
NB: for 1 July to 30 September we have already included a one day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve.
Day 6
Wake up at dawn and enjoy an early game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy returning to Porini Mara Camp for a late breakfast followed by an escorted nature walk and then lunch. In the afternoon enjoy another game drive in the Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies with a night drive as you head back to camp driving in the dark with a spotlight for the chance to see the nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 7
Early morning game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy returning for breakfast. Mid- morning transfer to the airstrip for the 11 am flight back to Nairobi Wilson airport (arriving 12.20 pm).
Alternatively, opt to extend your stay for an additional night at Porini Mara Camp or Porini Lion Camp – both at Reduced Rates if added to this safari.
