Jan Harmsgat Country House is an exclusive country bed and breakfast guest house, on a working farm in the scenic Klein Karoo winelands.
Accommodation:
There are 4 large en suite bedrooms with an adjoining lounge. The 2 loft bedrooms and the guest lounge have mountain views. All the rooms are non-smoking. There is also a cottage on the boundary of the farm, about a 5-min drive from the main house, in a lovely pastoral setting surrounded by fields of sheep.
Dining & Facilities:
The healthy and imaginative cuisine at Jan Harmsgat makes use of fresh fruit and produce – much of it organically grown in the gardens. Judi contacted well-known chefs to come in and provide formal training for the local kitchen staff. Greeted before dinner, invited into the cozy fire-lit lounge where you can sample some of Brin’s fine wine selection. The farm also produces first-class cheeses that are served after dinner and at breakfast. Picnic baskets and other meals are provided on request.
