Experience the wonders of Namibia in this luxurious flying tour.  Staying in high quality, luxurious accommodation and travelling by small charter airplane, this 11 day tour offers a more gentle timing, spending 3 nights at most of the locations.  So many itineraries are a tick in the box for each location, but with this option it allows for guests to fully experience & settle into each area before moving on.  Travelling by air, also cuts down on overall journey time which can be long and tiring by road.

Accommodation is in upmarket and luxurious properties with all activities included, enabling you to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Departing from the airport in Windhoek, your first flight takes you to the Onguma Nature Reserve, bordering Etosha National Park, where you will spend 3 nights on a wildlife safari. You will then fly to Damaraland, which will be your home for the next 3 nights,  a vastly different location and where you will come to fully appreciate the geology, botany and wildlife of the area.  Your next flight is heading to the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund for 1 night.  And then onwards to the Namibrand Reserve staying in a down to earth yet luxurious camp for your final 3 nights of this wondrous itinerary.  Your final flight back to Windhoek completes your journey.

Onguma Camp Kala, opened in November 2022, is an ultra-exclusive lodge experience situated next to a waterhole, offering exceptional wildlife viewing,  in the 34,000 hectare Onguma Nature Reserve in Namibia.

• 3 nights at Camp Kipwe (Full Board + Activities)

Camp Kipwe  is an intimate and remote bush lodge located in Namibia’s arid yet starkly beautiful Twyfelfontein region. Guests can explore this beautiful region with nature drives, walks, local excursions to view historic rock art or simply relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. 

• 1 night at The Swakopmund Sands Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)

Situated on Swakopmund’s Platinum mile, Swakopmund Sands Hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the city centre, tourist attractions, restaurants and the beach. 

• 3 nights at Wolwedans Dune Camp (Fully Inclusive)

Located in the endless plains of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Wolwedans Dune Camp offers solitude and scenery. Guests can enjoy a range of activities that will ensure a completely immersive experience in this stunning setting.

Itinerary

DAY ONE  – WINDHOEK – ONGUMA (Mokuti Airstrip)
Approximate flight time 1hr 45mins
Depart Windhoek for the  flight to Mokuti Airstrip where you will be met on arrival and transferred to Onguma Camp Kala.  Settle into your Suite. Each suite has its own deck with plunge pool, wood-fired hot tub and along a short walkway, a private, shaded Sala with an outdoor daybed – perfectly placed for an armchair safari – or even a “sleep out” under the stars. Depart on a late afternoon guided drive in the 34 000-hectare private Onguma Reserve to seek out and observe the wildlife that make this area their home, with a sundowner, before you head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY TWO & THREE  – ONGUMA
Two full days to explore the area on game drives.  You can also view the wildlife from the ground-level photographic hide, enjoy a massage in the spa room or practice yoga on the yoga deck.

DAY FOUR   –  ONGUMA (Mokuti Airstrip) – DAMARALAND (Twyfelfontein Airstrip)
Approximate flight time 1hr 20mins
Today you will fly to Damaraland, a scenic semi-desert area, where you will be staying at Camp Kipwe, huddled in the rocks, with sweeping views across the Aba Huab valley.   Camp Kipwe is full of surprises, starting when guests first arrive. It appears as if rocks have tumbled down the hill to reveal this gem of a camp. The setting is one of intimacy and space. An inviting lounge area, where birds fly in to enjoy the water seeping from the rocks, a refreshing swimming pool nestled in the rocks and a scattering of bungalows complete this eco friendly camp.  Met on arrival at Twyfelfontein Airstrip, your Driver will transfer you to camp for lunch.  Spend the afternoon at leisure or depart on a guided activity. Return back to camp for dinner and overnight.

Overnight Camp Kipwe  (Suite / Full Board + Activities)

DAY FIVE/SIX   –  DAMARALAND
Two full days to explore the area on nature drives, self guided nature walks or take a visit to Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain & Organ Pipes. Kipwe’s local guides share with their guests an intimate knowledge and respect for the land that they have built up over a lifetime.

DAY SEVEN – DAMARALAND (Twyfelfontein Airstrip) – SWAKOPMUND
Approximate flight time 1hr
Today, you will depart the rugged landscape of Damaraland to fly to the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund.  Once you arrive, check into your Hotel and then you will have the rest of your day at leisure to explore Namibia’s premier seaside town. There are a host of activities to participate in while in Swakopmund, these range from sandboarding through quad biking to sky-diving or marine/boat excursions, Historical Tours or general sight seeing – there is something for everyone! Activities are not included in this itinerary but can be pre-arranged when you book this itinerary or left for you to arrange on arrival in Swakopmund.

DAY EIGHT – SWAKOPMUND – WOLWEDANS

Travelling South today, you will fly into the NamibRand Nature Reserve, an area of 172,200 hectares spread across four distinct ecosystems, the NamibRand Nature Reserve is among the largest privately owned game parks in southern Africa.
Your home in this wondrous region is Wolwedans Dune Camp, positioned on the edge of a 250-metre high dune, the Camp has the most extraordinary views across the Namibrand reserve.   Settle into Camp before departing on an afternoon activity in the Reserve, before heading back for dinner and overnight.

DAY NINE/TEN – WOLWEDANS

Two full days to “go slow and disconnect to reconnect…”  Activities are included and guests can do as much or as little as they wish.  Embark on nature drives, sundowner drives, explore the area on e-bike, experience the desert through the eyes of a bushmen on a guided walk, or simply spend some time just unwinding on your private deck in the Namib Desert, one of the quietest places on earth.

  • The Charter company accepts no responsibility for any delays or additional costs caused by unforeseen circumstances, deviations or delays due to weather conditions, safety precautions or mechanical breakdowns or any other cause whatsoever.  The price is based on direct routes except where indicated otherwise. Any diversions or additional flying will therefore be charged extra.
  • Flight details, transfer information, accommodation information, passenger’s weights and nationality are required when confirming the flights.
  • As per the Namibian Civil Aviation Regulations, the charter company is only licensed to operate between sunrise and sunset.
  • All routes & flights are WEATHER PERMITTED.
