Each of our Porini Safari Camps is located in a scenic spot within a Conservancy – a vast area of pristine, game-filled wilderness – where visitor numbers are restricted to protect the environment and enhance the safari experience.
Nowadays Kenya’s state-run National Parks & Reserves can become very busy in the high season with many big safari lodges accommodating large numbers of tourists and crowds of tourist minivans vying to view the animals. In contrast, private wildlife Conservancies have low tourism-density ensuring a private safari experience and superior game-viewing.
The Conservancies can also offer guided walks to get close to nature as well as night game drives in order to see various nocturnal species. (These activities are not allowed in the National Parks & Reserves.)
