Ngorongoro Serena’s beauty comes from the way in which the lodge was designed. Built from local material called river stone, the lodge is narrow and set low and is enveloped by green lush vines to give it a feel of partial invisibility especially when right down in the Crater.
The décor is borrowed from the pre-historic era to emulate the caves of those days. Big arched passages made of stone are filled with ancient paintings that have been carved.
Burning torches light the way that throw a soft glow to the interiors if the lodge where an ever-burning fire is found within the lodges centre.
