The 14th Eco Warrior Awards event was held on 26th September 2019 in Nairobi. The event – as ever – attracted a large number of local, regional and international tourism stakeholders to celebrate companies that champion responsible tourism in Kenya.
The Eco Warrior Award is an annual event held by Ecotourism Kenya. The award recognizes efforts, innovations and exceptional achievements for promoting responsible tourism and enhancing tourism sustainability which directly conserves the natural environment linked to local communities through mutually beneficial and equitable partnerships. Nature conservation through community development by tourism is the essence of ecotourism.
Our four Porini Camps hold Gold eco-rating certification from Ecotourism Kenya (Porini Rhino Camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Porini Amboseli Camp in Selenkay Conservancy, Porini Mara Camp in Ol Kinyei Conservancy and Porini Lion Camp in Olare Motorogi Conservancy).
