How our Conservancies in Kenya are empowering Maasai women

Gamewatchers Safaris actively employs women and supports their economic empowerment, says managing director Mohanjeet Brar, who notes women often direct household funds toward children’s welfare and community needs. The conservancy pays landowners about KSh3,400 per acre, enabling ventures such as beading businesses and schooling for girls. Female committee members report increased confidence, literacy and decision-making roles, though they want higher offices reserved for women.
