Samburu & Mara Air Safari

A high quality 5 day (4 night) safari by air to Samburu and the Masai Mara staying in luxurious accommodation. Premium game drives are included as are other activities – such as escorted walks, magical sundowner experiences and memorable meals in the bush. Transport from Nairobi and between the camps is by light aircraft to avoid long road journeys and maximise time at the camps.

Saruni Samburu is a ‘designer’ lodge perched on top of a spectacular viewpoint and surrounded by 95,000 hectares of private wildlife conservancy. It has four open-faced houses all of which have their own seating areas, multiple verandahs and private dining areas (2 of the houses are large family villas with two separate en-suite bedrooms and dressing rooms).

Saruni Samburu also offers a large swimming pool with dramatic views over Samburu, an area for massage and beauty treatments called Samburu Wellbeing Space, and several other are unique areas to use as hide-aways or view point to the waterholes that attract elephant, reticulated giraffe, zebra, Oryx and all the species that make Saruni Samburu so special.

In addition to game drives to Samburu National reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve and West Gate Conservancy, activities will include night and morning game drive in Kalama Conservancy, rock climbing, professionally-led game walks, bush dinners and star gazing.

Elephant Pepper is a luxury eco-friendly bush camp situated in the 3,600 sq km Koiyaki reserve in the northern section of the Maasai Mara eco-system. Being situated at the edge of the National Reserve ensures that guests have a flexible range of game viewing plans, including day and night game drives in open-sided vehicles and guided bush walks.

There are 8 tents, one of which is the honeymoon suite. Each has en-suite dressing rooms, safari showers and flush toilets. Guests are assigned a personal guide for the duration of their stay providing a personal service.

Meal times are dinner party style with guests sharing their adventures and experiences but private dining can be arranged. Also available are bush breakfasts and bush sundowners, which invariably provide you with spectacular backdrops to your drinks and meals. Barbecues by the campfire, dinner in the mess tent, or a bush breakfast on the open plains all make meal times a memorable event.
