Located within close proximity to the Aba-Huab River, Camp Kipwe is a small and intimate bush lodge located in Namibia’s arid yet starkly beautiful Twyfelfontein region. Camp Kipwe is full of surprises, starting when guests first arrive. It appears as if rocks have tumbled down the hill to reveal this gem of a camp. The setting is one of intimacy and space. An inviting lounge area, where birds fly in to enjoy the water seeping from the rocks, a refreshing swimming pool nestled in the rocks and a scattering of bungalows complete this eco friendly camp.
Camp Kipwe offers guided nature walks around the Twyfelfontein Conservancy, as well as trips to see the Bushman etchings, the mysterious Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain. Guests can also explore the surrounding area in a 4×4 vehicle, in search of Namibia’s remaining 600 desert dwelling elephant as well as seeking out the flora and fauna of this fascinating area. Kipwe’s local guides share with their guests an intimate knowledge and respect for the land that they have built up over a lifetime.
Guests can relax at the swimming pool that has been skilfully carved out of the local boulders, blending in perfectly with the natural surroundings or enjoy time on the private deck, taking in the spectacular surroundings.
