The Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same environmentally sound principles – working closely with the local communities. All camps are specially designed to have minimum impact with no permanent structures.

For all guests booking 8 or more nights staying at the Porini Camps we provide a FREE NIGHT including breakfast in Nairobi plus a free arrival transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
For your free night in Nairobi you can choose between a night at the Eka Hotel or the Weston Hotel (on Bed & Breakfast basis), or stay at Nairobi Tented Camp in Nairobi National Park on Bed & Breakfast basis (excluding park entry and camping fees – $95 during high season and $75 during low season). For stays at Nairobi Tented Camp our special discounted Half Board safari package at $105 can be added as a pre-booked option to include a free game drive and dinner and free drinks.

Pickup from Nairobi at 9am and transfer by safari minibus to Porini Amboseli Camp (a 5 hour journey of 128 miles), arriving at camp before lunch. (NB optional flight upgrade at a supplement). Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy stopping for a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will have a sundowner on an observation platform overlooking a waterhole by the camp, where elephants and other animals often come to drink. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli park to the airstrip for the 9am flight to Wilson, connecting onto the 10.20h flight to Nanyuki (arriving at 11.30h). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off on a game drive with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Dinner and overnight at Porini Rhino Camp.
Day 5
Depart Porini Rhino Camp and fly from Nanyuki on the 09.45 Safarilink flight to Mara arriving at 11.00.You’ll be met at the Naboisho Ol Seki airstrip by Porini Mara Camp staff and transferred to camp. Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch prepared by the camp chef. Afternoon game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei, before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 6
Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara’s birdlife. Leave camp soon after dawn to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. You will have a bush breakfast out in the wilds and then return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a further game drive in Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies with a sundowner at a scenic spot before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 7
After breakfast leave camp and drive through Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies, game-viewing as you go, and on to Olare Motorogi Conservancy arriving at Porini Lion Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the reserve, and with an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which are found in the conservancy. Sundowner and night game drive. Overnight Porini Lion Camp.
Day 8
A full day spent on a game drive in the famous Masai Mara Reserve with a picnic lunch in the park and then return to Porini Lion Camp in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.
Day 9
Early morning game drive in the conservancy returning for breakfast. Mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for the 11am flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson airport (arriving 12.15h).

Child rates applicable to children aged 8 to 16 years:
1 child sharing with 2 adults – child pays child package price above and 2 adults each pay the per adult sharing rate.
1 child sharing with 1 adult – child pays child package price above and adult pays the single adult rate.
2 or 3 children sharing in own tent – each child pays 75% of the per adult rate.
Camps not recommended for children aged under 8 years.
Exclusive vehicle: sole use of the open sided 4×4 safari vehicle during game drive US$ 375 per vehicle per day.
Late Afternoon Departure: Late departure from camp after 10.00 a.m. is US$ 150 per person – minimum 2 people (includes lunch, soft drinks and activities before departure in the late afternoon with transfer to airstrip. Guests are required to check out of their tent by 10.00).
Optional flight supplements:
Scheduled flight: For flying from Nairobi to Amboseli US$ 93 per adult one way / US$ 65 per child (2 – 12 years) one way.
Charter flight: Each year from 1 July to 31 October and 20 December to 31 March we offer daily charter flights (to operate with a minimum of 2 passengers) between Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and Selenkay Airstrip which is very close to Porini Amboseli Camp. The supplement will be the same as if using the scheduled flight (see above). The charter flight departs Wilson Airport at 07.30h and arrives at Selenkay at 08h10. (Complimentary transfer by camp’s vehicle to Porini Amboseli Camp). For the return journey, the charter departs Selenkay at 08.30h and arrives back at Wilson at 09.10h.
NB if clients fly to or from Amboseli Airstrip within the dates specified above then there is a further supplement of US$ 50 per person one way for pick up or drop off.
Mombasa: fly from Masai Mara to Diani / Ukunda / Moi Airport instead of flying to Nairobi: US$ 430 per adult / US$ 285 per child aged 8 – 11 years (one way flight). Includes late departure charge and mandatory US $100 park fee.
Extra night rate: The extra night rate includes game activities on the Conservancy where a large variety of wildlife can be seen with few other tourist vehicles present, as well as the option of having bush breakfasts, evening sundowners and night drives (all of which are not possible in the Reserve). Any clients who do choose to have another day in the National Reserve must pay the extra park entry fee of US$ 80 per adult per day / US$ 45 per child per day (up to 18 years) on top of the above rates.
