Go in search of lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, rhino and much more in some of the most game-rich wildlife reserves in East Africa with this 5 night (6 day) tour.

After a night in Nairobi National Park the tour continues to Ol Pejeta Conservancy – home of the World’s last 2 Northern White Rhinos. Then head to the game-filled Olare Motorogi Conservancy – which has the highest density of free-roaming wild lions in Africa – and Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day and night game drives are by 4×4 safari vehicles with expert guides, and exciting bush walks are included giving you the opportunity to get close to flora and fauna often missed from drives. Accommodation is in camps that complement each other perfectly – staying first at Nairobi Tented Camp in the heart of Nairobi National Park, then Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, followed by Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve.

Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from Nairobi international airport (or a hotel) and transfer to Nairobi National Park. Spend 1 night at Nairobi Tented Camp (fully inclusive of meals, game drives, sundowner, park fees and drinks – beer, wine, gin & tonics, soft drinks and bottled water). This unique camp is the only camp within the Nairobi National Park which is home to a broad range of wildlife.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart Nairobi National Park and transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for the morning flight to Nanyuki (duration 1 hr 10 mins). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Spend 2 nights at Porini Rhino Camp (fully Inclusive of meals, beer, wine, soft drinks, mineral water, gin & tonics, game drives, sundowners, visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and park fees). Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off on a game drive with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Optional activities in Ol Pejeta include The Endangered Species Boma where you can meet the World’s last 2 remaining Northern White Rhino, Lion Tracking and Riding with Rhinos. Dinner and overnight at Porini Rhino Camp.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart Ol Pejeta and transfer to the airstrip for the direct flight to the Masai Mara (duration approx 1 hr 15 mins). Porini Lion Camp staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to camp for 2 nights (fully inclusive of meals, beer, wine, soft drinks, mineral water, gin & tonics, day and night game drives, guided walks, sundowners and park fees) . After lunch take an afternoon game drive, stopping at a scenic point for a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.

Day 5

Following an early breakfast, take a game drive into the Masai Mara National Reserve in search of the Big Five. Return to camp in the late afternoon, after a picnic lunch in the Reserve. Later, head out on an evening game drive within Olare Motorogi Conservancy – stopping at a viewpoint for a sundowner. Continue on a night game drive looking for nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.

Day 6

Take an early morning walk in the Conservancy escorted by Maasai warriors and return for breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip and fly back to Nairobi (arriving around 12.15pm). Met and transferred to the international airport (or a Nairobi hotel – not included but available at a supplement). Alternatively, extend your stay and take time to relax on the beautiful beaches of the Kenya Coast.

Prices include: Pick up JKIA and transfer to Nairobi Tented Camp in Nairobi National Park for check in and lunch. Afternoon game drive then dinner and overnight for 1 night on full board safari package basis. After breakfast, check out and transfer to Wilson Airport where you will board schedule flight to Nanyuki Airstrip, met and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp for 2 nights on all inclusive basis with daily Ol Pejeta Conservancy fees. After breakfast, check out and transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip to board schedule flight to Olare Orok Airstrip, met and transferred to Porini Lion Camp for 2 nights on all inclusive basis with daily Olare Motorogi Conservancy fees and one day Masai Mara Game Reserve entrance fee. On the last day after breakfast transferred to Olare Orok Airstrip to board scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport.

Child rates applicable for 8 – 12 year olds:

1 child sharing with 2 adults, child pays child package price above while the 2 adults pay per adult sharing rate.
1 child sharing with 1 adult, child pays child package price above while the 1 adult pays single adult rate.
2 or 3 children sharing in own tent, each child pays 75% of per adult rate. Child under 8 years not recommended.

Exclusive vehicle use at Porini camps:

Sole use of the open sided 4×4 safari vehicle during game drive US$ 375 per vehicle per day.

Late afternoon departure at Porini camps:

Late departure after 1000hrs US$ 150 per person minimum 2 pax (includes lunch, soft drinks and activities before departure in the late afternoon).

Flight supplements:

Mombasa: For flying from Masai Mara to Diani/Ukunda/Moi Airport instead of flying to Nairobi US$ 430 per adult & US$ 285 per child 8 – 11 years (one way flight). Includes late departure charge & mandatory US$100 park fee.

* Extra Night Rates:

Extra night rate includes fully inclusive accommodation and game activities within the Conservancy. There is no need to re-enter the Masai Mara National Reserve, but for those clients that choose to return extra visits are subject to the government entrance fee of US$ 80 per adult ($45 per child) per day on top of above rates.
