Jacaranda Beach Resort is a large property with great facilities just 7 kilometres from Watamu and 13 kilometres (20 minutes) from Malindi on Kenya’s Coast. It has an idyllic setting right in the heart of the enchanting Watamu Marine Reserve. Here, the beaches have fine white sand and at low tide there are fascinating coral atolls to explore.
Jacaranda’s 150 metre beach area is set within a larger 1200-metre-long stretch of coastline with soft white sand and lush palm trees.
Guests can spend time simply relaxing on the beach or by the pool or they can explore the footpaths and trails within the lush tropical vegetation of the surrounding area. The resort provides the ideal retreat at which to rest after a Kenya safari tour.

Jacaranda Resort has guest rooms in various categories:
Classic Rooms (Garden View or Ocean View)
Divided into 7 blocks and distributed on two levels, these are furnished according to the local architectural style and feature Lamu beds with mosquito net, air conditioning, ceiling fan, veranda or balcony, safe deposit boxes, hair-dryer and fridge upon request (payable locally).
Most Classic Rooms are equipped with one double bed and one single bed, while some can accommodate up to 4 adults (one double bed + one bunk bed). Interconnecting rooms are available on request.
Villas (Garden View or Ocean View)
These are located in Villa Galana (an African-style villa on two levels) and Villa Lamu (an elegant Arabian-style villa) in an exclusive setting in the heart of the beach area. (They have the same services and facilities as Classic Rooms).
Jack Superior Room
These four Arabian-style units are set within an exclusive area surrounded by a lush garden, a short distance from the new swimming pool and its Jacuzzi area. They are on a single level and are embellished by precious African stuccoes.
Each spacious 40 square metre room has a wide sea-facing veranda equipped with a comfortable sofa. They have the same services and facilities as Ocean View Villas but are provided with free Wi-Fi connection. Each can accommodate up to 4 people.
The Ocean Suite
Situated on the upper floor of Villa Galana, this boasts breathtaking views over the surrounding area. It has the same services and facilities as Ocean View Villas but is provided with free Wi-Fi connection and also has two showers / two sinks, bathrobes, fridge and courtesy snacks and soft drinks. This elegant suite is ideal for couples or families (max 4).
Facilities
Public areas are distributed over two floors. The upper floor has the enchanting restaurants overlooking the Indian Ocean, the amphitheatre and the sun terrace. The lower floor hosts the main bar (open from 8:00 to 24:00) and a disco. The hotel’s beach area is equipped with sun beds and a beach bar.
The wide circular Reception area is surmounted by a typical makuti roof. It offers Satellite TV with RAI International channels, a small film library including Italian movies, a small library, foreign exchange service and gift boutique.
