The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa occupies an extraordinary spot on the Zambezi River. It is approximately 9km from the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. Its Location offers a heart- stopping panorama of both the river and spray of the Victoria Falls. The Lodge is relatively young – Opened in 2008 and is very close to the Mosi oa Tunya National Park. Park fees into the Park are included hence guests do have access to the park if they wish to go on game drives.
Accommodation
The David Livingstone Safari Lodge boasts all river-facing accommodation and ideally mixes luxury and comfort.  The lodge has 77 rooms in total as follows; 72 standard rooms: 3 inter- connecting family rooms, 2 rooms suitable for people with disability and 5 suites  that have a private entertainment area and Jacuzzi
All rooms are air conditioned and have en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, bathtub and toilet. Other in-room amenities include; Digital satellite TV, WiFi, 24 hour room service, a Safe, Writing desk, mini bar, Telephone, hair dryers, Â Coffee and tea making facilities.
Food and Beverage
The  Ujiji (Bar) and Gwembe Terrace and Sun Deck serve cocktails, and lunch – both Buffet and a ‘la carte Menus.
The sun deck area overlooking the Zambezi River offers a true gastronomic delight. A relaxed and casual meeting place where guests are encouraged to sit back and watch the magnificent African sunset whilst sipping on cocktails.
The Kalai Restaurant (Buffet, a ‘la carte Menus)  is situated upstairs in the main lodge, this is the main restaurant; – a culturally inspired setting with contemporary afro-Arabian meals, freshly flavoured, aromatic and healthy exquisite meals in a traditional setting; offerings include mouth-watering  traditional delicacies.
Lodge Facilities & Amenities
Other facilities include; Lady Livingstone Cruiser; – Right on the doorstep, more correctly, the river bank, you have the opportunity to cruise The mighty Zambezi river . This river cruising vessel is perfect for viewing hippos, elephants and crocodiles all from the safety of one of it’s 3 decks.
There is also an Infinity swimming pool, Gym, Spa & Wellness Centre, Safari Par Excellence Activity Centre, WIFI, complimentary daily shuttle to the Victoria Falls and Livingstone Town. Visa, Mastercard and Amex accepted.
Other popular activites include walking with lions, elephant safari’s or interaction in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park; the motorised adrenaline rush, Jet Extreme, where power is the name of the game as you fly through the rapids in Batoka Gorge, Zambezi.
Scenic Helicopter and microlight flights give you the opportunity for some amazing photography apart from the actual fantastic experiences of flying over the Victoria falls and seeing all the river channels flowing into the gorge.
The Spa & Wellness Centre treatments include hydrotherapy, marine algae body wraps, anti-ageing facials,and numerous massages ranging from Swedish and deep tissue to traditional Zambian techniques. These are offered while guests relax and listen to the calming sounds of the Zambezi in flow and Victoria falls a short distance away.
