Rubondo Island National Park

The unique Rubondo Island National Park is an ideal addition to any Tanzania safari, offering fascinating game-viewing in alternative terrain to Africa’s great plains. This is an area of immense ecological importance including primary lowland Congolese forest and it supports a variety of habitats with dense forests, papyrus swamps, open woodland and savannah.

Activities include game-viewing, guided forest walks, chimpanzee treks, birding, sustainable fishing, canoe excursions or simply relaxing on the beach.

Rubondo Island Camp

Rubondo Island Camp is the only lodge on the island and it combines the opportunity to relax and unwind on the attractive lake-side beaches with exhilarating wilderness activities such as guided forest walks, game viewing and trekking. The camp has a lovely setting overlooking the lake and provides high-quality accommodation in the midst of this spectacular scenery.
