Green Hills of Africa is a small, boutique property offering the perfect place to stay before or after a safari adventure.
It is set in a beautiful 3-acre natural environment in Usa River, a small area conveniently located between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha, the gateway for domestic flights to many of Tanzania’s popular wildlife reserves.
The resort opened in 2016 and has a good range of guest amenities, including an a la carte restaurant, a sports bar, a 20 metre swimming pool, a luxury spa (opening soon), activity centre (opening soon) and a playground. In the local vicinity (walking distance) there is a supermarket, a foreign exchange facility and a village market (Sun & Thurs).
Green Hills of Africa offers a pleasant alternative to a city or airport hotel. Guests enjoy relaxing on the verandah overlooking the Ndurumanga River or under the huge indigenous trees in the well-kept gardens, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Accommodation
The contemporary guest rooms are within modern buildings. There are Standard Rooms that sleep 1-2 people, and a Family Room that accommodates up to 2 adults and 2 children (aged up to 16 years).

Green Hills of Africa prides itself on its customer service and attention to detail. The restaurant ensures fine dining with a high quality menu including Tanzanian and international dishes using the best, fresh ingredients.
Day Rooms
For guests returning from their safari but with evening departures from the international airport, the resort is the ideal location for a Day Room or a last lunch or dinner. (Day Rooms are available from 12 Noon until 6 pm).
