The camp offers plenty to keep guests busy. Nature drives to explore the surrounding area and to seek out wildlife such as the elusive desert-adapted Elephants and black Rhino. Walks are also available on the nature trails, which guests can follow or longer walks with a Guide can be arranged on request depending on Guide availability. Excursions to the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Twyfelfontein, an archaeological site that offers more than 2,500 rock engravings, as well as various paintings. Historians and visitors alike, consider it be one of the finest examples of rock engravings in Southern Africa.

15 Thatched Roofed Rooms all with en-suite facilities.
View Rooms:
12 Twin bedded rooms (can be converted into a King bed), with thatched roofs and en-suite facilities.
Superior View rooms face west with a panoramic distant view.
View rooms have an northern view across the valley.
Standard View rooms face to the east or northeast and have a more limited view into a boulder-strewn valley.
Luxury Room:
Situated behind large boulders, this west-facing room consists of a thatch roof, partly canvas walls, an air-conditioned room with kingsize bed, en-suite facilities and its own private deck with splash pool overlooking the valley below. Wi-Fi and private dining are available in-room or on the deck. Being close to the main area, this room is ideal for guests with limited mobility.
Mini Suite:
A completely private, luxury, thatched mini suite with splash pool, cocooned within the rocks. The lounge features satellite television and stocked minibar, before leading to an air-conditioned king bedded room and an en-suite open air bath- room. Private dining is available either within the suite or on the outdoor decks which are also cocooned within the rocks. Wi-Fi and laundry service included (for stays of 2 nights or longer).
Mountain Suite:
A private, luxury thatched suite with spectacular wrap-around views. The lounge offers satellite television and soundbar before leading onto an outdoor deck. Adjacent to the lounge is a bedroom equipped with king size bed, air-conditioning, separate bathroom and an outdoor deck featuring a splash pool, sala, bath and shower with uninterrupted views. Limited Wi-Fi, private dining, stocked minibar and laundry included (for stays of 2 nights or longer).
Location
Mowani Mountain Camp is located in the Uibasen-Twyfelfontein Community Conservancy in Damaraland in the north-eastern region of Namibia. Windhoek is 550km and is approximately 5 ½ hours’ drive, Swakopmund is 320km and is approximately 4 hours’ drive.
Transfers from Twyfelfontein Airstrip are approximately 20 minutes.
